How it works
Three ways in. One of them is yours.
1
Your professional body runs it
Log in through your association's member portal, with the same login you use for your member benefits. Your professional body decides who gets access.
2
We already run one for your sector
No association behind you? We may already run RiverCPD for your sector. Search by profession, sector or professional body, then join. Basic is free.
3
Nothing for your sector yet? Ask.
Tell us your profession and country. When enough people in your sector ask, we set it up, and you'll hear first.
Find your profession
Search by job title, professional body or regulator. If your association runs RiverCPD, log in through it. If we run a platform for your sector, join it. Not there yet? Join the list.
No profession matches yet — ask us to add it.

Four things that go wrong with CPD, and what the RiverCPD does about each.
The problem
The lost certificate
It was in an email. Or a drawer. Or the old laptop.
What the app does
Photo it. Done.
Take a photo or share the PDF. It becomes a dated entry with the certificate stored alongside, and it never goes missing again.
The problem
The learning you forgot to count
A webinar, a journal article, a tricky case you talked through with a colleague. It counted, but it never got written down.
What the app does
Log it in thirty seconds.
Add a quick entry the day it happens, and finish it later. Informal learning is where most people under-record.
The problem
The blank reflection box
"Describe how this learning benefited your practice." Cursor blinks.
What the app does
The coach asks. You answer.
Asks questions specific to what you learned, then a check against your professional body's standard so you know it will stand up. It never writes the answer for you.
The problem
The audit letter
"You have been selected. Please submit within 30 days."
What the app does
Your record is already done.
Choose the entries, export them in the format your professional body asks for, and submit. An afternoon, not a month of evenings.
Where you stand, all year
See the gap in March, not the week before renewal.
Your professional body's requirements are built. A progress ring shows what you've done, what's expected by today and how far ahead or behind you are, broken down by subject area where your scheme asks for a mix. Spend your time on the learning you actually need.
What it costs
Depends on how you get in.
No card to join. No company name. Your record is yours: export everything at any time, and take it with you if you change job or leave.
If your professional body runs RiverCPD
Your professional body signs up and sets its own criteria for who cann access. Many bodies include RiverCPD as a membership benefit. Ask them if you're not sure.
On a sector platform
Basic: free. Record, track and export on the app and the web, with up to 5 GB of evidence. No AI coach.
Pro: £1.50 / $2 a month, billed annually (£18 / $24 a year). Every AI feature, including the CPD coach, and 100 GB of evidence.
Pro opens on 1 November 2026. Until then, everything is free.
Questions people ask
Is RiverCPD approved by my regulator?
Regulators don't approve or endorse CPD tools, and you should be wary of any tool that says it is. RiverCPD is built around your scheme's published standards, and what you export is in the format your professional body asks for.
Can the AI write my reflection for me?
No, and it's designed not to. Regulators expect your CPD record to be your own work. The coach asks questions and checks your entry against the standard, but every word of your reflection is yours.
Does it work without a signal?
It will. Offline entries come with the app, which is coming soon to iPhone and Android. On the web you need a connection.
Can my employer see my CPD?
Not unless your scheme is set up that way and you've joined your employer's organisation in it.
My profession isn't listed. What happens?
Ask for it. Your request starts a waiting list, and any profession that reaches 500 names goes to the front of our build queue.
Invited by your professional body or employer?
The RiverCPD is available via a web app. RiverCPD mobile app is coming soon to iPhone and Android. Until then, log in on the web with your account. Everything you record now will be waiting in the app.
