Three reasons CPD schemes stall, and what RiverCPD does about each.
The problem
Members don't record
Recording feels like admin, so it's left until renewal, or never done.
What RiverCPD does
Snap a photo of the certificate, answer the coach's questions, done: two minutes, the day it happens. Reminders and your announcements keep CPD in front of members all year.
The problem
Your team drowns at renewal
Chasing certificates by email and logging them in a spreadsheet takes weeks.
What RiverCPD does
The records are already in. You see every member's progress against your targets. Attendance at your own events goes in as one upload.
The problem
Audit is a paper chase
Sampling, collecting, reading and chasing.
What RiverCPD does
RiverCPD picks the random sample and collects the submissions. Your auditors see every entry in one place, with AI triage showing where to look first. Your auditor decides every outcome.
Built for how your scheme works
Points, hours or reflection. Your scheme, not ours.
Some schemes count points or hours. Others judge the quality of the learning and the reflection. Many do both. RiverCPD handles all three: switch counting off for a reflection-led scheme, and the app asks members for what your standard actually assesses.
- Your categories, subject areas and custom fields, so entries ask for exactly what your scheme needs
- Targets per year or cycle, with minimums per subject area where you set them
- Your quality standard, which drives the coach, the auditor's checklist and the member's self-check
- Competencies that are earned through CPD or granted by you, with expiry dates
- Events and training recommendations, peer review, announcements
- Member companies can manage their own staff's targets, if your members are employers
How it works
From your CPD policy to members recording, in five steps.
1
You share your scheme
Send us your CPD policy, or answer our questionnaire (about 40 minutes): categories, points or hours, cycle dates, audit rules, what a good reflection looks like.
2
We set it up
Categories, targets, audit rules, export templates and your quality standard, in your colours and under your name.
3
Members sign in with the login they already have
Single sign-on with your member database. If you don't have a member portal, we provide one. Nobody creates another password. Your membership system stays the record of who's a member. RiverCPD reads it at each sign-in, so nobody keeps two lists.
4
You see progress in real time
The Control Panel shows who's on track, who's behind and who needs a nudge before renewal.
5
You run audits in days
Sample, review, decide, with AI triage to help your auditors and a clear record of every decision.
