Members emailing certificates. A membership team logging them by hand. An audit season nobody looked forward to. We built RiverCPD for one client in 2019 and kept going, because the problem was the same everywhere.

Members don't record because recording feels like admin, so the 2026 platform puts CPD on the phone and adds a coach that makes reflection quicker. Health and care bodies judge the quality of reflection rather than counting hours, so schemes can now switch counting off. And people worry about AI writing their CPD for them, so we made one rule and kept it: the coach never writes a reflection.
