Accessibility statement
RiverCPD aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Until an independent audit confirms it, this statement says what we have designed for and what we still need to check. Last updated 19 October 2026.
What this statement covers
This statement covers:
- the rivercpd.com website
- the RiverCPD web app, for members
- the Control Panel, for association and employer staff
- the RiverCPD apps for iPhone and Android
RiverCPD is run by Senior Internet Ltd. We want as many people as possible to be able to use it. You should be able to:
- zoom in up to 400% without text spilling off the screen
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your browser or device settings
- move around using only a keyboard
- use speech recognition software
- use a screen reader, including JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver on desktop, and VoiceOver and TalkBack on phones
Things we designed in
- More than one way to do each task. You can photograph a certificate or upload a PDF instead. You can join your scheme by its link, by scanning a QR code, or by typing its code.
- Colour is never the only signal. When the AI coach rates an entry red, amber or green, it also gives a written checklist of what each part of the standard asks for.
- Work at your own pace. You can start an entry offline and finish it later.
- Plain language. We write in short sentences and explain terms.
How accessible RiverCPD is
Known problems
We know of no problems on the rivercpd.com website. Our checks on 1 October 2026 found some text with too little contrast and some pages that scrolled sideways on narrow phone screens, and we fixed them the same day.
In the Control Panel, the lists of members, organisations, competencies, announcements and events, the leader board and the bulk upload page make the page scroll sideways on narrow phone screens (WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.10, Reflow). They work on tablet and desktop screens. We'll fix this by 4 November 2026, when RiverCPD v4 launches.
We haven't yet tested the RiverCPD apps for iPhone and Android. We'll list any problems we find here, with the date we'll fix them by.
Content that is not in scope
Certificates and documents that you or your professional body upload are not produced by us, so they may not be accessible. Regulator pages we link to are the regulator's responsibility.
Feedback and contact
If you find something on RiverCPD you can't use, or you need information in a different format, email hello@rivercpd.com. Tell us the page or screen, what you were trying to do, and the device and assistive technology you use.
We'll reply within 7 days. If we can't fix the problem straight away, we'll help you another way, for example by exporting your record for you.
Your CPD record is always available as a CSV or a PDF export, which you can open in the software you prefer.
If you're not happy with our response
The Equality Act 2010 requires service providers to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people. If you're not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS). In Northern Ireland, contact the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland.
How we tested RiverCPD
We tested the rivercpd.com website on 1 October 2026, and the RiverCPD web app and Control Panel on 2 October 2026, on a demonstration scheme. We ran automated checks (axe-core 4.13, against WCAG 2.2 levels A and AA) on every website page and every web app and Control Panel screen, checked whether each works at 320 pixels wide without scrolling sideways, and checked keyboard access and visible focus, in Google Chrome. Senior Internet carried out the tests: they were not an independent audit, and automated checks find only some kinds of problem.
The apps for iPhone and Android haven't been tested yet.
What we're doing to improve accessibility
We check new features against WCAG 2.2 AA before they ship, and fix the problems we find in the order that affects people most.
