The rule in one sentence
CPD is mandatory: at least 30 hours per calendar year (or 90 over a rolling three years) including about six hours on structural safety and six on sustainability, recorded via the IStructE CPD platform and submitted by 31 March when requested.

Help with reflection
The coach asks what you learned and how it changes the way you work. You write the answer.
Breathe. Here’s your plan, week by week.
A request to submit is routine: IStructE asks a proportion of members every year, and most members are asked every few years. You submit the record you already keep, by 31 March. If anything is short, you will be contacted and given time before the Membership Committee considers it.
What about the IStructE CPD platform?
IStructE has its own CPD platform, and that's where your record goes when you're asked to submit. Keep track of your hours, structural safety and sustainability in RiverCPD during the year, ready to transfer.
