The rule in one sentence
From 1 April 2025 there is no hours target or training log to submit; you must keep a CPD record, discuss it regularly with your manager, make sure it improves your care and meets the Code of Professional Practice, and confirm this at renewal — Social Care Wales may sample records.

Do I have to use SCWonline?
No. Your SCWonline account can hold your record, but it isn't mandatory. Keep it in RiverCPD instead, review it with your manager, and download it if Social Care Wales asks for a sample.
