The rule in one sentence

Since 1 January 2025 every UK-registered architect must undertake, record (on MyARB or RIBA) and reflect on CPD each calendar year, including the two mandatory topics (fire and life safety; environmental sustainability), and declare compliance when renewing registration by 31 December.

Selected for audit?

Breathe. Here’s your plan, week by week.

ARB's review is a quality check on your reflections, not a count of hours. Most records pass; where one does not, ARB writes to you and allows time to bring it up to standard. Keep each entry short but clear about what you learned and how you will use it.

Can I record my ARB CPD in RiverCPD?

No. ARB only accepts CPD recorded on MyARB or the RIBA platform, not spreadsheets, documents or other apps. Record it there. ARB's own guidance is linked above.
