1. Who we are
RiverCPD is run by Senior Internet Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 03901114. Registered office: Gothic House, Barker Gate, Nottingham, NG1 1JU. Contact us at hello@rivercpd.com.
2. Two ways to use RiverCPD
Through your professional body. If your professional body runs RiverCPD, you join through it and sign in with the account you already use for your membership. Your professional body pays us, and decides what's included and what, if anything, you pay it. Your professional body decides how its scheme works: its targets, categories, audits and export templates. Its own rules for your membership apply alongside these terms.
On a sector platform. If your professional body doesn't run RiverCPD, you may be able to join a sector platform for your profession. The Basic account is free: record, track and export, with up to 5 GB of evidence. RiverCPD Pro adds every AI feature, including the coach, and 100 GB of evidence storage.
3. Your Basic account
On a sector platform, the Basic account is free and there is no card to join. It lets you record CPD on the app and the web, photograph certificates and store evidence, track your scheme's requirements as targets, and export your record.
4. RiverCPD Pro
RiverCPD Pro costs £18 a year including VAT, or US$24 a year where we charge in dollars, paid once a year in advance. It adds every AI feature, including the coach, and raises your evidence storage from 5 GB to 100 GB. If your Pro subscription ends and your evidence is over 5 GB, you have 30 days to export and delete your excess uploads. If you don't we'll archive them. They'll still be stored and count towards your limit but you won't be able to access them until you upgrade again to Pro. Pro opens on sector platforms on 1 November 2026; until then everything is free.
Paying. You pay through Stripe. We don't see or store your card details.
Renewal. Pro renews each year until you cancel. We'll remind you by email at least 7 days before it renews, with the price.
Price changes. If the price changes, we'll tell you at least 30 days before your renewal date, and you can cancel before it renews.
Cancelling. Cancel any time in your profile. Pro stays on until the end of the year you've paid for, and then stops. Your record and your Basic account stay.
5. Your right to change your mind
You can cancel Pro within 14 days of buying it. Email hello@rivercpd.com or cancel in your profile, and we'll refund the months you haven't started: you pay only for the first month.
After 14 days, we don't refund part-years, except where the law says we must.
6. If your professional body starts paying
If your professional body later covers RiverCPD for its members, we'll refund the months of Pro you've paid for and not used.
7. Your record is yours
You own what you write and upload. You give us permission to store and process it only to run RiverCPD for you, and for your professional body if you joined through it.
You can export your full record at any time, as a CSV or a PDF. Take it with you if you change job, change professional body or retire.
How we handle your personal data is set out in our privacy notice. If you joined through your professional body, it decides what happens to your record, and it reviews any request to delete your account, because your CPD record may be part of your membership. Export your record first if you want to keep it.
8. Keep other people's details out of your record
Describe what you learned, not who you treated. Don't put patient, client or service-user names or other identifying details in your entries, reflections or evidence. Blank them out on certificates and documents before you upload them. Your regulator's confidentiality rules apply to your CPD record too.
9. The AI coach
The coach reads the certificate or document you choose, drafts the facts for you to check, asks up to five questions about what you learned, and, when you ask, reviews your entry against your scheme's standard.
It never writes your reflection. Every word of your reflection must be yours. Regulators expect your CPD record to be your own work.
Check what it drafts. Drafted details are marked for you to check and confirm. You are responsible for the accuracy of your record.
A review is guidance, not a verdict. A green rating doesn't guarantee your regulator or professional body will accept your record. They decide.
You can switch it off in your profile at any time. Your professional body may also switch it off for everyone.
10. Using RiverCPD fairly
You must not share your sign-in with anyone, record learning you didn't do, upload anything unlawful or harmful, try to get into data that isn't yours, or copy, reverse engineer or overload the service. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. If you joined through your professional body, we'll tell it first unless the law or an urgent risk stops us.
Sanctions. You can't use RiverCPD if you are named on the UK sanctions list, or in breach of UK sanctions. We may block access from countries and regions subject to UK sanctions, so RiverCPD may not work while you're in one. Entries you start offline will sync when you're back. We may suspend an account where the law requires it.
11. Keeping RiverCPD running
We work to keep RiverCPD available and your data safe, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted. You can keep adding entries offline, and they sync when you're back online. We may change features to improve RiverCPD, and we'll tell you before we remove anything you rely on.
12. Our responsibility to you
If we don't provide RiverCPD with reasonable care and skill, you have legal rights as a consumer, and nothing in these terms affects them. Advice about your rights is available from Citizens Advice.
We are responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, for business losses, or for a regulator's or professional body's decision about your CPD.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
13. Ending your account
You can stop using RiverCPD at any time and ask for your account to be deleted. Cancelling Pro is covered in section 4. If you joined through your professional body, it decides when your account is closed. On a sector platform, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice before we close your account, apart from the cases in section 10. If we ever close RiverCPD or a sector platform, we'll give you at least 90 days' notice so you can export your record, and refund any Pro time you've paid for and not used.
14. Changes, complaints and the law
We may update these terms. We'll tell you about any change that affects you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel Pro and get a refund for the unused months.
If you have a complaint, email hello@rivercpd.com and we'll reply within 7 days.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or in your local courts if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland. If you live outside the UK, you also keep any rights your local consumer law gives you that cannot be excluded, such as the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
